There are a lot of predictable questions that you can prepare for when attending a job interview:
What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
Why should we hire you?
What are your goals for the next 5 years?
You have heard these questions before and you know what to say, it is the weird interview questions that you need to watch out for!
Some interviewers are trying out new questions that may catch you off guard and stimulate a spontaneous answer that will reveal a lot more about you. They are not doing this to be cruel, they are doing it because they want to get an accurate impression of you.
You should be able to answer these sorts of new questions without too much trouble, but where the problem arises is if they cause you to have a complete mind blank. This could result in you blurting something out that you later regret. To avoid this, you should take a few seconds to consider the question and think about what the interviewer is really asking you.
