We are pleased to introduce Simone Wilkes, who recently joined us as a Graduate Recruitment Trainee. She is the newest member of the Bridgewater Graduates Division and has already started to take ownership of our Graduate roles in the North West.
Simone is currently working through our intensive Bridgewater Training Academy programme which will take 6 months to complete.
We caught up with her 8 weeks into her training to see how everything is going.
How are you finding the role and working at Bridgewater so far?
I’m really enjoying it! Everyone has been so friendly from the day I started. I feel like there’s such a great support network here, people are always happy to help. The training has been hands on and everything is presented so clearly – you can really get stuck in! I love how varied the role is and that I’ve already gained the skills I need to confidently get out on the road to meet candidates. It’s safe to say that no two days at Bridgewater are the same!
What’s been your favourite part of the role so far?
I definitely have to say interviewing candidates. It’s been great meeting them face to face, as I know that not all recruitment consultancies do this. It’s satisfying to help them through the recruitment process and on their way to finding the right career for them. Things can move so quickly, which is exciting.
What are you looking forward to?
I’ve really gotten to know my current candidates, so I’m excited to work with them moving forward. I can’t wait to get back on the road again and meet even more candidates. Especially if I get to use one of the company cars (hello Audi)!
How have you found the training?
Really good! I like how I get regular feedback, that way I know where I need to improve and I know what I’m doing well. The training is comprehensive and fully prepares you for the role. I can see how much progress I’ve made since I started and I feel very confident already.
