It’s Sophie Finlay’s 5th anniversary with Bridgewater today! We surprised her with a card, some flowers and a luxurious spa day for two (having worked so hard over the last 5 years, she definitely deserves it)!
We caught up with her to see how she was feeling about hitting this milestone: “My first thought is that I can’t believe it has been 5 years! My role has grown into something far beyond what I expected back in 2011 and that is a testament to the emphasis Bridgewater places on professionally developing and supporting their employees. Here’s to another 5 years!”
As she mentions, Sophie has been on quite a journey with Bridgewater. She joined us 5 years ago as PA to our Director. She then progressed to Office Manager where she was responsible for managing our Business Systems team. Next, she stepped up to become our Recruitment and Development Manager, playing a central role in the growth of our team.
Now Sophie is the Talent Development Manager for Bridgewater Resources, where she works closely with and guides new staff through our Bridgewater Training Academy. She also continues to work with all of our team members, helping them to develop their skills and giving them the tools they need to succeed and progress professionally.
On top of that, Sophie is undoubtedly our resident expert on psychometric tests. She has a strong interest in people, what motivates them and what makes them tick. It is this passion that has propelled her into the people-orientated role that she thrives in today.
Our CEO, Agnes Butterworth, congratulated Sophie and said, “Over the years Sophie has shown adaptability, initiative and a passion for the business. These traits have allowed her to progress through the business and to secure her position as a key member of the Bridgewater team.”
