The latest official figures from the Office for National Statistics show that UK unemployment is falling, the number of people in work continues to rise and the growth of vacancies is higher than ever (well, at least since records began).

So what does all of this mean for job hunters?
Between January and March 2015 there were 743,000 jobs available, this is 124,000 more than the previous year. The outlook for job hunters, therefore, is looking better than it has in a while. Basically, it’s not a bad time to be looking for jobs right now!
All of this has also resulted in regular pay growth, which is increasing at its fastest rate in nearly 4 years and is set to continue doing so. This is unsurprising given the growing demand for workers and the need for companies to compete harder for the best candidates.
There’s still some way to go in continuing to improve employment rates, but we certainly seem to be moving in the right direction.
