The largest British-owned wiring manufacturer in the UK is looking for a creative Graduate Marketing & Social Media Trainee to join their successful team in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a central role in defining the business’ marketing and social media strategies, managing the delivery of these and producing impactful results.

Role Responsibilities

You’ll be joining a successful family-run business that has been established for over 30 years and throughout this time they have developed into an internationally recognised brand within the cable industry. As a Graduate Marketing & Social Media Trainee, your responsibilities will include:

  • Continuing to raise the brand profile within the professional contractor community and with electrical wholesalers
  • Managing the marketing budget, evaluating performance and finding areas of external support for this
  • Working with colleagues to understand the business and discover all marketable features
  • Coordinating marketing events ie. factory visits tours with colleges, electrical wholesalers and electrical contractors
  • Managing all print media
  • Tracking and monitoring the success of online initiatives and reporting the results to management
  • Staying up to date with social media developments and best practices

  • A starting salary between £27,000 – £30,000

Requirements

To be successful in this Graduate Marketing & Social Media Trainee role, you should live locally to Doncaster and have:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • A positive attitude, creativity and a passion for marketing
  • Some knowledge of web/app platforms, Microsoft 365 programs and basic design software
  • Knowledge of online technology including social media channels, blogs, podcasts and emerging AI
  • The ability to think analytically and solve problems
