One of the UK’s leading security systems distributors is looking for a Technical Product Engineer to join their successful team in Ashton Under Lyne. You’ll be managing an extensive range of CCTV and security solutions from the company’s in-house electronic security brand. Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Product Engineer, you will:

  • Work with various technologies including IP, Analogue, Software, Apps, and Mechanical systems
  • Conduct comprehensive product evaluation and testing
  • Assess product performance against specifications and requirements
  • Ensure product conformance and compatibility with third-party systems
  • Identify product issues, propose solutions, and collaborate on resolution efforts
  • Provide actionable feedback for product improvement in collaboration with developers and the in-house product team
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and media resources to assist customers
  • Track, log, and document product activities, changes, and version updates
  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure awareness of product features and functionalities
  • Engage with other departments to gather feedback and understand new requirements or feature requests

  • Starting salary of £37,500-£42,500

  • Working hours are Monday – Thursday 09:00 -17:30, Friday 09:00 -17:00

Requirements

To be successful in this Technical Product Engineer role, you should have:

  • A strong interest in technology, particularly electronics, computing, and networking
  • Previous experience in a technical products or technical QA
  • Excellent attention to detail with a well-organised, analytical, and methodical approach to work
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
